About XY Bike Calc

XY Bike Calc is a collection of tools created by a bike fitter for bike fitters. These tools are designed to make the bike fitting process more efficient and accurate, helping fitters serve their clients better.

The calculators are currently free to use, but access to the bike database in the XY Position Calculator may require a subscription in the future. The database of bikes is far from comprehensive, but will continually be updated as new bikes are released.

About the Creator

I'm Allen Kuo, owner and fitter at Clubhouse Velo Fit Studio in San Francisco. I understand the challenges and needs of professional bike fitters. These tools were born from real-world fitting scenarios and are designed to solve common problems we face in our daily work.

The Tools

• X/Y Position Calculator:
  Calculate and compare handlebar positions (center of handlebar, HX & HY) relative to the bottom bracket.
  With a known target saddle X/Y (center of saddle rail) position, seatpost setback or seat mast length needs can be accurately calculated as well.
• HX/HY to Frame Calculator:
  Convert a desired handlebar position (HX/HY) to frame stack and reach dimensions.
• Stem Calculator:
  Compare changes in stem parameters such as stem clamp height, length, angle, and spacers. For example, what happens if I flip the stem from -6° to +6°?
• Bike Search:
  Find bikes that match your desired stack and reach measurements.
